Notes
Jacobean pattern is the subject of Gray’s first recorded advertisement relating to a specific pattern: see The Pottery Gazette and Glass Trade Review July 1919, last image below.
The ewer in the first image has a Waring & Gillow mark beneath the Gray’s 1st Galleon backstamp. The staining is a result of age.
The teapot in the second image, a Bishop & Stonier shape, would have been supplied originally with a lid. The two tureens would also have had lids.
Patterns 427 and 1798 appear to be the green version and patterns 576 and 1800 yellow.
