Notes
The painter’s mark on the plaque shown is an ‘R’ alongside an ‘H’ and is one of the marks of Roland Heath, the only known male decorator at Gray’s Pottery. The footring is decorated, in this case gilded, a characteristic of many of Gray’s special lustre products.
