A similar lidded box to the example in the first image (called a Queens Candy Box) has been recorded with a BC Young Distillers mark alongside its Gray’s backstamp – see the section Retailers, Distillers Agency for more information.
The tankard in the second image holds a Swiss Gueissaz musical movement in its base, operated when the pot is lifted off a flat surface. The tune played is The 3rd. Man (The Harry Lime Theme).
An original paper label shows the shape to be called BLYTHE (musical).
