This fully freehand-painted lustre design forms the basis for a number of variants over the years as can be seen by the ‘Similar Patterns’ list below.

The National Trust has three 8″ plates (ref 1274519.3) and a 3″ diameter bowl (ref 1274539) of this pattern at Shaw’s Corner in Hertfordshire: a bequest of George Bernard Shaw, 1950.

The advertisement shows typical fittings supplied to the ‘mounting’ trade.

A pattern sold by the London retailer Heal & Son.
