Pattern No: 5131

The design features a ‘special finish’ to the back of the plate with blue lustre bands and lines. This finish, difficult to appreciate when the plate is hung on a wall or when flat on a table, has been recorded on a number of lustre designs that were used for plates (some typical examples are shown for pattern 5373). Typically, the finish is orange rather than blue.
