Patterns A8481, A8493, A8496, A8497 and A8503 all appear to be lustre designs solely on decorative stoneware shapes; all vases except for a lamp base and a ‘small basket’ (see the images for pattern A8496). The shapes may have been supplied by Pearson of Chesterfield.
Interestingly, during a period when Gray’s Pottery was exporting a great deal of its lustre production to North America, none of the examples of these five patterns has been recorded in an export market.
