The jug, centre right in the photograph, is the example of both A8667 and A8668.
Over the life of the company, Gray’s Pottery produced a wide range of resist lustre designs (see the website section Patterns, Classification, Lustre, Copper lustre).
The 1926 pattern number 7252 is an example of an early silver resist pattern and A8667 continues the tradition, with the addition of some enamel colour, in this case lilac and green.
Several silver resist patterns were duplicated in copper/bronze lustre: for A8667 it was A8668, but with red instead of lilac.
The egg-shaped box was used for several patterns, including A9039, a 1951 Festival of Britain lustre pattern.
