The first of the upper two images shown here, the front and back of a company information photograph, was used for an advertisement which appeared regularly in Pottery and Glass from May 1950 to January 1952 (see the Adverts section).

The tea pot in the photograph is the example of both A8672 and A8673.

Over the life of the company, Gray’s Pottery produced a wide range of resist lustre designs (see the website section Patterns, Classification, Lustre, Copper lustre).
The 1926 pattern number 7252 is an example of an early silver resist pattern and A8672 continues the tradition.
Several silver resist patterns were duplicated in copper/bronze lustre: for A8672 it was A8673.
