Seven bowls have been recorded for this pattern, no other shapes. They are all 215mm/8½” diameter, 80mm/3¼” deep and have the impressed number 870/2, probably the shape reference of the manufacturer, Kirklands.
What is unusual is that they all carry the pattern number A8772 and there is no suffix to indicate a specific colour, the normal practice for Gray’s Pottery designs where several different colours are available. Pattern number A8769 exhibits the same trait.
Both the edge line and the line around the waist are silver.
