This is the first Gray’s pattern recorded with a significant number of examples using the Portmeirion backstamp V2 rather than the Gray’s Clipper N6.
Two verses have been recorded on the tankards: 14V and 23V (see the Prints & Verses, Verses section).
The tankard in the second image has the pattern number ‘A’ 1469 on the base – assumed to be an error.
