Many Antique-shaped jugs of A8836 (right in the first image) have been recorded, notably in North America.
The small jug, left in the first image, was known as a ‘Castle’ jug at Gray’s Pottery: see the website section Retailers, North America – USA, Skinners for more information on these jugs.
One of the silver lustre Castle jugs in the second image is marked A8836/1: the suffix indicating a different colour version of the basic pattern. A8836 is usually seen in the copper lustre design.
